英語中幾個例如的區(qū)別

suchas、forexample和like的區(qū)別

1)forexample和suchas都可當(dāng)作“例如”解。但suchas用來列舉事物，插在被列舉事物與前面的名詞之間。例如：

①Thefarmgrowsvariouskindsofcrops,suchaswheat,corn,cottonandrice.

這個農(nóng)場種植各種各樣的莊稼，例如麥子，玉米，棉花和稻米。

SomeoftheEuropeanlanguagescomefromLatin，suchasFrench，ItalianandSpanish.

有些歐洲語言來源于拉丁語，例如，法語、意大利語和西班牙語。

BoyssuchasJohnandJamesareveryfriendly.

像約翰和詹姆斯這樣的男孩都很友好。

【注意】

(1)suchas一般不宜與andsoon連用。

(2)對前面的復(fù)數(shù)名詞部分起列舉作用，一般不全部列出。故不可以說：

Heknowsfourlanguages,suchasChinese,English,FrenchandGerman.應(yīng)將suchas改成namely,后面加逗號。即：Heknowsfourlanguages,namely,Chinese,English,FrenchandGerman.

2)forexample意為用來舉例說明，有時可作為獨立語，插在句中，不影響句子其他部分的語法關(guān)系。例如：

①Alotofpeoplehere,forexample,MrJohn,wouldratherhavecoffee.

這兒的許多人，例如約翰先生，寧愿喝咖啡。

Forexample，airisinvisible.

例如空氣是看不見的。

He，forexample，isagoodstudent.

例如他就是個好學(xué)生。

Somewarm-bloodedanimals，like/suchasthecat，thedogorthewolf，donotneedtohibernate.一些溫血動物，像貓、狗和狼都不需要冬眠。

Hehasseveralsuchreferencebooksasdictionariesandhandbooks.

他有幾本像字典、手冊之類的參考書。

注意

使用suchas來舉例子，只能舉出其中的一部分，一般不能全部舉出。若全部舉出要改用namely（意為“即”）。

他精通四門語言，即漢語、英語、俄語和法語。
