　　菜品形式

　　就像中餐分主食、熱菜、涼菜、點心等等一樣，西餐菜單也把菜品分門別類，并且也有套餐概念，不過中西飲食習慣不同，所以與中餐類別相對應(yīng)的食物，不一定是你熟悉的形式。下面就以經(jīng)典法餐的菜單流程為例，介紹每種西餐類別的名稱和內(nèi)容：

　　Appetizer/FirstCourse前菜

　　美式叫法：Starter

　　西餐的主菜，以大塊肉類為主，或者是整塊魚，或大個頭的海鮮中國人概念里的主食和素食，比如面包和土豆泥。也會作為配菜(SideDish)一齊奉上美國快餐店的菜單，還有1主n配的套餐(Combo)。

　　Dressing/Sauce醬汁

　　Dressing指的不是裙子，是沙拉的調(diào)味汁，Sauce泛指搭配菜肴和甜點的各種蘸汁、燒汁，比如番茄醬(Ketchup)、肉鹵(Gravy)，一般來講sauce比dressing要濃稠重口一些厚重感再強一點的，叫Paste。

　　Dessert/Pudding甜點

　　為啥pudding是甜點，有兩點值得說明：一是飲料(Beverage)并不算甜品，一般需要單點;二是咱愛吃的甜軟型面包，反倒可以作甜點。因為很多都是酥皮點心(Pastry)，在西方不太算主食。
